Donations help provide culturally appropriate fresh start packs, specialist Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) support, and essentials like food vouchers, alongside a safe space, a warm welcome, and advocacy as women rebuild their lives.

Sistah Space is a small but mighty charity. Our dedicated team is composed largely of volunteers and we have served Black women with compassion for the last 10 years. We have built trust with Black women who have often been stereotyped, retraumatised, and disbelieved by mainstream services when they report abuse.

In Autumn 2025 we collaborated with SAGE Publishing on their upcoming documentary exploring inclusive research and spoke of the importance of ethical, inclusive practice that centres and builds trust with service users. We also gave a talk for Black History Month on the intersection of domestic abuse, misogyny and racism.

In December 2025, we worked with WPP's Black Employee Network, who provided hands-on support at our Dalston shop.
